The new 6422 m² Collins department store in the retail base of the SOHO Panama mixed-use complex embraces Panamanian culture through the selection of materials and the integration of botanical-themed artistic elements, while re-interpreting traditional retail strategies from a contemporary perspective. KKA studied the sightlines in the space to create an open feeling throughout each level of the store. Custom retail fixtures enhanced the overall design, allowing KKA to implement design strategies at multiple scales to create a layered, yet cohesive, shopping experience.
